The Capitol Hill neighborhood, located southeast of the State Capitol Building and Denver’s Central Business District, is one of the City’s most densely packed neighborhoods, with over 95% of the land developed.
Capitol Hill has evolved several times from millionaire’s row to skid row, and today is a popular cosmopolitan destination with tons of restaurants, bars, theaters and other cultural amenities.
Real estate in Capitol Hill is a unique blend of elaborate mansions, condominiums, apartment buildings and some of the City’s oldest single family homes. A considerable number of mansion properties have been converted to office uses in the past several years with the southern portion of the neighborhood remaining mostly residential. Public transportation and City support services are readily available, but parking is at a premium with many multi-family properties lacking off-street parking options.
