The Platt Park neighborhood is located just west of the University of Denver and is home to the Old South Pearl Business District which is an 18 block corridor on Pearl Street that offers a plethora of small shops and trendy restaurants. Pearl Street also hosts annual street festivals, farmer’s markets, and even a Mother’s Day 5K. A light rail stop at Louisiana and Pearl makes the Platt Park neighborhood just a quick ride from Downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center.
There are a variety of housing options in the Platt Park neighborhood from early 1900’s Craftsman Bungalows and Denver Squares to modern Duplexes and newer single-family homes. Developer interest in the neighborhood waned a bit after the 2010 down-zoning which prevented the development of duplexes and other multi-unit structures throughout the majority of the neighborhood.
