The Virginia Vale neighborhood is located east of Glendale and just south of Hilltop. The neighborhood was mostly farmland and orchards until the 1950’s when ranch-style homes were constructed on generously sized lots. The Four Mile Historic Park is located within the neighborhood and contains Denver’s oldest structure, the Four Mile House. This historic landmark once served as an inn, stage stop and tavern for those who were Denver-bound on the Cherokee Trail.
Virginia Vale residents have easy access to the Cherry Creek trail which runs along its southern boundary as well as Garland Park in the southeast corner of the neighborhood.
