City Park

The City Park & City Park West neighborhoods, are situated just southwest of Denver’s largest park, the 330 acre City Park.  The Park contains the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, 2 lakes and the City Park Golf Course.  East High School and the City Park Esplanade are located at York Street and Colfax Ave.  East High moved to its current location in 1925 and was the first high school in the City.  In early 1991, the East High building was granted Landmark status by the Denver City Council.

City Park remains one of the most popular parks in Denver.  It was renovated in 2010 and offers a free concert series in the summer as well as paddle boats for rent at the public boathouse.

The neighborhood is mostly comprised of single-family homes, small apartment buildings and medical offices.  A two tower condo project, the Pinnacle, was developed in 2009 on the south edge of the park.
